A588 Grade B is a special type of alloy known as weathering steel known for its unique ability to resist corrosion in all types of environments. As an alloy, A588 Grade B is also known as a micro-alloyed steel owing to its very small alloy content of only a few elements, such as carbon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur, silicon, and copper.
