The quality assurance of A588 Grade A weathering steel sheet includes raw materials inspection, material composition analysis, chemical composition analysis, appearance inspection, dimensional inspection, flatness inspection, metallographic examination, hardness test, ultrasonic flaw detection, eddy current test, no-load test and load test of A588 Grade A weathering steel sheet.

1. Raw materials inspection: when obtaining raw materials, conduct 100% visual and random inspection on raw materials in strict accordance with relevant national, industrial, and production requirements. Samples should be taken in a predetermined number to detect the chemical composition, the physical and mechanical performance of the raw materials.

2. Chemical composition analysis: Chemical composition analysis is an indispensable process for determining whether the raw materials in the production process are in line with the requirements. The chemical composition analysis is carried out by an advanced analytical instrument. The analysis results should meet the technical requirements of the steel standard to ensure the qualified product rate.

3. Appearance inspection: A588 Grade A weathering steel sheet should be in full accordance with the requirements of the average surface of the finished product, and conduct a thorough inspection on the surface defects such as scratches, the flatness of the plate, and the bulging of the plate.

4. Dimension inspection: After the production of A588 Grade A weathering steel sheet, its size, no deformation, joint accuracy, cutting length and right angle should be inspected according to the drawings and requirements. Take a certain number of samples to test the relevant dimensional accuracy of the product in order to ensure the qualified product rate.

5. Flatness inspection: After the production of A588 Grade A weathering steel sheet product, it should also be inspected for flatness. According to the technical requirements, focus on whether the flatness meets the requirements, and then inspect the samples at will to ensure the predictable product quality.

6. Metallographic examination: the structure and performance of the A588 Grade A weathering steel sheet produced by the company should be checked by metallographic examination, the production process of the product, the existence of defects, the number of primary crystals, the size distribution and grain shape of secondary crystals and other aspects.

7. Hardness test: According to the processing technology requirements, hardness tests such as Brinell hardness test, Rockwell hardness test and Vickers hardness test are carried out to determine the hardness of A588 Grade A weathering steel sheet, and no significant deviation is allowed with the technical requirements.

8. Ultrasonic flaw detection: A588 Grade A weathering steel sheet should also be inspected with ultrasonic flaw detector to ensure its performance and the qualification rate of the product. Under normal production conditions, it should be 100% inspected and detect the internal defects of the steel plate in time.

9. Eddy current testing: The eddy current test used for A588 Grade A weathering steel sheet is mainly used to detect metal materials and internal defects to ensure the freedom of steel plate from defects.

10. No-load test: No-load test should be carried out on A588 Grade A weathering steel sheet to observe the temperature change of the sample and its voltage values, so as to ensure that there is no abnormality.

11. Load test: Load test is mainly used to observe whether the A588 Grade A weathering steel sheet has mechanical property changes such as cracking, plastic strain, electrical resistance and so on under certain loads. According to the requirements of the technical specifications, the product after load test should remain within the scope of the qualified product.
