Introduction of A588GrA, A588GrB, A588GrC:
A588 is an American standard weathering steel grade. The three grades of A588 grades are A, B, and C. They are often used in buildings, large factories or waiting halls, large exhibition venues, etc. The production thickness ranges from 8mm to 200mm, and the A588 series of high weathering bridge structural steel plates include A588GrA, A588GrB, A588GrC, etc.
Chemical composition of A588:
Carbon content C: ≤0.19%, silicon content Si: 0.30%-0.65%, manganese content Mn: 0.8%-1.25%, phosphorus content P: ≤0.03%, sulfur content S: ≤0.03%, vanadium content V: 0.02% -0.1%, chromium content Cr: 0.4%-0.65%, nickel content Ni: ≤ 0.4%, copper content Cu: 0.25%-0.4%.
A588 rolling process:
Production process: electric furnace smelting → LF/VD furnace refining → casting → steel ingot cleaning → steel ingot heating → plate rolling → finishing → cutting and sampling → performance inspection → storage
A588 Mechanics Features:
Tensile strength MPa: ≥ 485; Yield strength MPa: ≥ 348; Elongation after fracture %: ≥ 21
A588 Delivery Status:
Delivered in hot-rolled state or normalized, tempered, normalized + tempered, quenched and tempered and other heat treatment states.
