A588 weather resistant steel plate is a high strength low alloy steel plate, also known as COR-TENA588 weather-resistant steel plate. It is an atmospheric corrosion resistant steel plate used in marine and industrial applications. A588 weathering steel plate is easy to weld and braze, and when used in structural applications, the welds are usually pre-treated with zinc-rich plate. A588 weathering steel plate is usually produced with a thickness of 2-8mm and a width of up to 2200mm.
A588 weathering steel plate can be punched or cut into various shapes, and different cutting processes may require different punched cuts. Stamping pressure should not exceed product strength. Stamping should be carried out at a speed of about 0.2-2mm/S to ensure complete cold plastic deformation of the material. According to the ambient temperature, it can be divided into bronzing and cold stamping. In general, mild steel plates should be used as mild steel plate molds. When stamping stainless steel plates and aluminum plates, molds made of tougher alloys such as 40Cr and high-speed steel should be selected.
When stamping A588 weathering steel plate, the following points should be taken into account:
1. In the process of die forming and stamping, the general stress value of blank should not be greater than the yield strength of A588 weathering steel plate.
2. Punch and die should be carefully selected to ensure that the ductility of A588 weathering steel plate is not damaged.
3. The depth of stamping should be considered to ensure that the total thickness of A588 weathering steel plate is not reduced.
4. According to the size of the stamped parts, stamping molds and corresponding processes should be selected.
5. During stamping, lubricants and lubricants should be selected correctly, and asymmetric shape of molds must be avoided when opening edges.
6. In stamping process, the strain of A588 weathering steel plate should be evenly distributed, blank holding force should be reasonably set, and the stress of pressing edge should be reduced to prevent the phenomenon of fracture and breakage of materials.
7. The contact surface of die and punch should be covered with powder, oil film and dry mica, so as to obtain obvious improvement in quality and production efficiency.
8. After stamping, burrs and cracks should be removed in time so as to avoid weakening the strength of the product.
