ASTM A588 weathering steel is an excellent cold work hardening steel with high strength when used in atmospheric corrosion and marine atmospheric environments.

ASTMA588 weather-resistant steel plate is based on low-alloy high-strength structural steel, adding appropriate amount of alloy elements and (or) alloy structural steel plate, and is produced by a unique continuous casting process.

According to different service temperatures, ASTMA588 weathering steel can be divided into three categories: low temperature type (-40°C), medium temperature type (-45°C) and high temperature type (+45°C).

Low-temperature type ASTMA588 weathering steel: It is an atmospheric corrosion-resistant steel that can be used for a long time at not lower than -45°C and at -50°C.

Medium-temperature (+45°C) weather-resistant steel plate: its weather resistance is between low temperature and high temperature, but it has certain atmospheric corrosion resistance and can be used as engineering components or marine structural components.

High-temperature type (+45°C) weathering steel plate: It is an atmospheric corrosion-resistant steel that has been used for a long time under the condition of -50~+70°C. It has good low-temperature toughness and excellent atmospheric corrosion resistance, and can be used as structural components and engineering Structure.
