product description

Weathering steel plate is different from ordinary steel plate.

For weathering steel, its surface is hard, the color is dark red, and ordinary steel is silvery white. If the weathering steel plate for construction is not suitable for corrosion, and other ordinary steel plates are used, it is easy to corrode. Because the weathering steel plate needs to be derusted, the derusting needs to be divided into several aspects and stages. What is the difference between it and ordinary steel plates?

According to the different stages of weathering steel, different methods can be used:

1. When the steel plate is not rusted, it is impossible to distinguish the real weathering steel plate from the ordinary hot-rolled steel plate with the naked eye. 1. It is necessary to refer to the warranty book of the steel mill. The warranty book requires the supplier to provide the original with the red stamp of the steel mill as much as possible to prevent the merchant from charging inferior quality.

2. Provide samples to a regular third-party testing agency to test whether the metal composition meets the quality assurance. This method can be used for any stage of rusting over a long period of time.

In the early stage of rusting of the steel plate (1-3 months outdoors), the genuine weathering steel begins to grow small rust spots, the ordinary steel plate has loose rust spots, some rust treatment is poor, and even scale appears.

The second stage of steel plate rust (outdoor 4-8 months), genuine weathering steel has less rust water, small and thick rust spots; ordinary steel plates have more rust water, and rust spots are large and thin; ordinary steel plates have rust columns and severe tear marks, and the bottom of the workpiece There are signs of blackening.

The third stage of rusting of steel plates (more than 8 months outdoors), the genuine weathering steel has a dense, clear rust layer, the rust spots are closely attached to form a protective layer, and it is almost impossible to remove rust by hand; ordinary steel plates have a large amount of rust, and even the entire oxide scale is rusted. Peeling off rust. Genuine weathering steel tends to be reddish-brown, and ordinary steel plates tend to be dark black.
